Code of Conduct Policy

We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students.  We have worked with hundreds of students collectively, and understand that no two students are alike in how they express themselves.  We practice patience and understanding, however, if we feel that a student is being highly disruptive and keeping other students from experiencing a positive environment, we follow a 3-Step Policy:

1. Warning - If we feel that the student is being highly disruptive, we will give a Verbal Warning.

2. Time Away - On the second occurrence of highly disruptive behavior, we will request that the student take 5 minutes “away” from the class in a quiet and calm area of the classroom.

3. Parent Contact/Removal from class - On the third occurrence of highly disruptive behavior, we will contact the parent/guardian and request that the student be picked up.

-We discuss this policy at the beginning of classes and camp with our students so that they understand the expectation.-
